i. Robert KERR, of Newfield. He was born about 27 August 1707 and was also
designated Director of Chancery. He married Eleonora NUGENT. Robert KERR died 13 October 1768
and Eleonora died in Ayrshire 09 September 1795.
Children of Robert KERR and Eleonora NUGENT:
i. Mark KERR who was a Captain in the 9th Regiment of Dragoons.
He died 20 August 1791 at Carlow.
ii. Charlotte KERR who was married to Major John WEBSTER on 20 March 1771.
Charlotte died 08 October 1804 in Ayrshire.
iii. Catherine KERR who was married to James RITCHIE on 20 May 1765.
Catherine died 24 September 1783.
iv. Jane Douglas KERR who was married to Dugald CAMPBELL on 31 May 1775.
v. Eleonora KERR who was married to Walter CAMPBELL on 09 March 1768.
Walter and Eleonora CAMPBELL had a son named John who married Charlotte CAMPBELL, daughter of
John, fifth Duke of Argyll.
ii. William KERR, second son of Charles KERR and Janet MURRAY was born
about 11 January 1709. William was a Captain in the 29th Regiment of Foot and died, unmarried,
in Ireland on 18 June 1754.
iii. David KERR was born about 11 December 1709 and died 18 March 1716.
iv. Charles KERR was born about 11 December 1709 and died 01 April 1711.
v. Archibald KERR who was born about 31 December 1710 in Edinburgh and died young.
vi. Jean Janet KERR who was born about 06 April 1712 and was married on 01 October 1760
to William KERR, third Marquis of Lothian. Jean Janet KERR died without issue on 26 December 1787.
vii. Mary KERR who was about born 04 May 1713 and was married to Colonel Stewart
of Stewartfield.
viii. Elizabeth KERR who was born about 16 June 1714 and was married on 06
August 1750 to James KERR of Bughtrig and M.P. for the City of Edinburgh. Elizabeth died 21
February 1799.
ix. Wilhelmina Carolina KERR who was born about 13 July 1715 and was married
to Alexander KINCAID who was Provost of the city of Edinburgh and was generally known as his Majesty's
printer and stationer. Wilhelmina died 14 August 1774.
x. Margaret KERR who was born about 14 August 1716 in Edinburgh and died young.
xi. Veronica KERR who was born about 14 August 1716 in Edinburgh and died,
unmarried, in Edinburgh on 12 December 1768.
xii. Henrietta Anne KERR who was born about 12 August 1718 in Edinburgh and died,
unmarried, in 1794.
xiii. John KERR who was born about 09 August 1719 in Edinburgh and died young.
xiv. Mark KERR who was born about 21 February 1721 in Edinburgh and died young.
