On 30 December 1898, Margaret Calder MURRAY married Thomas BLACK in the East Benhar District of Fauldhouse, West Lothian.  Thomas was born on 02 February 1878 and was a son of John BLACK and his wife Agnes ARMSTRONG.

Thomas BLACK worked as a Stonebreaker and the couple raised a family in Balerno in the Currie Parish of Midlothian.  Margaret Calder Murray BLACK died in Edinburgh on 06 November 1953.

Children of Thomas BLACK and Margaret Calder MURRAY:

i.  John Allan Murray BLACK, who was born on 05 October 1899 in Balerno.  John died of measles, bronchitis, and pneumonia on 05 April 1903 in Balerno.

ii.  Peter Murray BLACK, who was born on 01 October 1900 in Balerno.  on 05 October 1928, Peter was married to Helen Ann KENNEDY at the Currie Parish Manse.  Helen was born about 1909 and was a daughter of Malcolm KENNEDY and Isabella SAMUEL.

iii.  Jessie Whiteford BLACK, who was born on 24 February 1903 in Balerno.  Jessie died in Balerno on 30 January 1904 of Meningitis.

iv.  Thomas BLACK, who was born about 1910.  Thomas died of congenital heart problems at Malleny Mills in Balerno on 21 June 1919.
