Margaret Welsh in Braefoot

Margaret WELSH was born 29 June 1753 in Easter Stanhope in Drumelzier.  Margaret was the daughter of Alexander WELSH and Marion TWEEDIE.  On 10 September 1773, she married David WELSH of Earlshaugh and Tweedshaws.  David was born about 1725.  Around the beginning of the 19th century, David and Margaret moved to Braefoot in the Moffat area.  At Braefoot, Margaret WELSH died in June of 1804 and David WELSH died on 20 May 1805.  David and Margaret are buried in the Tweedsmuir Cemetery.

Children of David WELSH and Margaret WELSH:

i.  Mary WELSH, who was born about 19 August 1774 in Moffat.

ii.  George WELSH, who was born about 1783 and died 18 August 1827.

iii.  Robert WELSH, who was born about 1784 and died 04 October 1811 in Braefoot.

iv.  James WELSH, who was born about 03 August 1791 in Moffat and died 18 November 1856.

v.  David Welsh, who was born about 11 December 1793 in Moffat and died about 1845.
