Robert Murray, Tenant in Williamlaw
Robert MURRAY was born about 02 August 1780 in the Melrose Parish of Roxburghshire. He was a son of John MURRAY and Elizabeth LAIDLAW.
On 27 April 1832, Robert married Agnes RIDDEL in Melrose. Agnes was born about 1804 and was a daughter of Robert RIDDEL and Agnes EASTON.
Robert MURRAY and Agnes raised two daughters at Williamlaw in the Melrose Parish where Robert was the Tenant Farmer.
Robert MURRAY died on 06 June 1850 at Williamlaw and Agnes Riddel MURRAY died on 26 November 1883 in Selkirk.
Children of Robert MURRAY and Agnes RIDDEL:
i. Agnes MURRAY, who was born on 18 January 1833 at Kilnknowe in Galashiels. Agnes never married and
died at 16 Island Street in Galashiels on 26 November 1874.
ii. Elizabeth MURRAY, who was born on 03 November 1834 at Williamlaw.
